EASTON Funeral Will Be Monday

Mrs. Oscar EASTON, 77, long-time resident of the Fairfield community, died at 8:45 a.m. today at the Jefferson county hospital. She had been in failing health the past six months and seriously ill the past week.

Last rites will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Hoyt Whitebread in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Emily EASTON was born June 16, 1886, southeast of Varna, Ill., the daughter of Carl and Christina OLSON CARLSON. She moved to Fairfield when a small child and was reared and educated in this community.

She was married Aug. 21, 1909, at Ottumwa to Oscar A. EASTON. She was a member of the Lutheran church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. EASTON is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles McCLAIN (sic. Marjorie EASTON McCLAIN), Fairfield; one son, Robert EASTON, Reno, Nev.; five grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Nora HAZELTON, Jerseyville, Ill.; Hannah CARLSON, Ottumwa; and Mrs. Minnie WISECARVER, Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
