ROZENBOOM, George R. -- George R. ROZENBOOM, 55, of Packwood, died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church in Packwood, with the Rev. Frosty VanVoorst officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Mr. ROZENBOOM was born Jan. 14, 1955, in Ottumwa, the son of Robert Dean and Patricia DERBIN ROZENBOOM. He married Barbara SCEARCY Jan. 1, 1980.

Mr. ROZENBOOM graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1974. He was a volunteer fireman for the Jackson Township Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Adam ROZENBOOM of Des Moines and Christopher ROZENBOOM of Ottumwa; one daughter, LuAnn ROZENBOOM of Packwood; three sisters, Kathleen LARSON of Davenport, Cheryl SICKA of Shepard, Texas, and Tammy BURKMAN of Kingsland, Ga.; and six brothers, Robert ROZENBOOM and Stephen ROZENBOOM, both of Shepard, Texas, Bill ROZENBOOM of Ottumwa, Rick ROZENBOOM of South Bend, Ind., David ROZENBOOM of Muncie, Ind., and Joseph ROZENBOOM of Helotes, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rose Marie ROZENBOOM.
