"Mrs. Luther Elmore died Jan 30 1930; bur. Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery. Minnie Estella, daughter of Jeremiah and Martha Ann Coffin, born Oct 5 1874; married Jan. 25 1889. Survived by husband and four children: Elbert and Jere Elmore, Ada Watson and Edna Simmons; and eight grandchildren, all living in the home community. One daughter, Edith Rae, preceded her in death Dec 5 1918. She is the first of a family of eight children to be called by death, the others are Emma Coffin and Mary McCracken, Richland, Iowa; Artalissa McCracken, Guilford College, N.C.; Roscoe, Minneapolis, Minn.; Leroy, Des Moines, Iowa; Charles, Marshall, Ind.; and Clyde of Pleasant Plain, Iowa."
