"PLEASANT PLAIN. Luther Elmore, 73, died yesterday in Des Moines. Stroke. Bur. Pleasant Plain. Born Dec 30 1875 near Knoxville, Tenn., son of the late Calvin and Sarah Elmore. . . . . Survived by wife Nettie; children: Elbert and Jerry, both of Pleasant Plain; Mrs. Claude Watson, Des Moines, and Mrs. Fred Simmons, Pleasant Plain. Also survived by a stepdaughter, Louise McDuff, Des Moines."
