… Another home saddened by the death of Mrs. Mace LOVELESS, which occurred the 2d of March. Her remains were interred in the Winse cemetery (sic) and the funeral was conducted by Rev. Springer. …

OBITUARY.

Hettie Salesty LOVELESS was born in Des Moines township March 17th, 1853, and died on the farm where she was born March 2d, 1903. Her maiden name was BLACK. She was united in marriage June 6th, 1872, with S. SWARTZ (sic - Henry S. SWARTZ). Of this union were born three children, Samuel L., Lillie V., and William F. August 10th, 1878, her husband died. January 14th, 1881, she was married to Mace C. LOVELESS, and of this marriage two children were born, Laffie Lee and Oscar M. The latter died in infancy. Mrs. LOVELESS was a very kind hearted woman, and was especially tender and affectionate in her home. She was converted at a meeting held at Libertyville about seven years ago, while Rev. P. H. McBeth was pastor, and united with the Christian church near Ottumwa.
