Editors Ledger :-- William Harrison COPELAND was born in Indiana February 26th, 1818, and died at his home in Des Moines township May 28th. He came to this state many years ago and was well and favorably known, having lived in Jefferson County about fifty years. In 1845 he was married to Mary PATENT. A son and daughter were born of this union, the daughter dying in infancy and the son a few years since. During the year 1863 Mr. C. was converted and became a member of the Methodist Protestant church. He was a good man and highly respected by his neighbors and acquaintances.
