OBITUARY.

Deborah WILSON LAUGHLIN was born June 1st, 1811, in Fayette County, Penn., and died at her home in Des Moines township three miles southwest of Libertyville, on June 30th, 1903, at the age of ninety-two years, twenty-nine days. She came to Iowa with her father's family in 1839, to the locality which was her home for so many years. She was married to David LAUGHLIN July 22d, 1847. They began wedded life on the farm where she had lived ever since and where she died. To them were born six children: Margaret A., Alexander C., John F., Sarah E., Mary C. and Hugh M. Margaret A. died in infancy; the other five children were with their mother at one time or another during her last illness and were a comfort to her. December 17th, 1883, her husband passed from this life and since that time her unmarried son, John T., has been the strong support in the home of his aged mother. Of her father's family there remains only one, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth WINSELL, aged eighty-five years, who lives near Kirkville, and who visited Mrs. LAUGHLIN a short time before her death. There are also living twenty-one grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. LAUGHLIN when young united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Pennsylvania. She lived a christain (sic) life and died in the faith of the Lord Jesus. Funeral services were held at the home July 2d, conducted by Rev. Geo. L. Minear, assisted by Rev. G. W. Barber. The body was tenderly laid to rest in the Winsell cemetery.
