Hubert FRY services Monday

Hubert FRY, 93, former Fairfield resident, died at 7:40 p.m. Thursday at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. He had made his home with his daughter and family in Washington since 1967.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Kincaid officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Wright Cemetery southeast of Fairfield. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to either the Washington Christian Church or the Washington Senior Citizens.

Fry was born July 13, 1890 in Cedar Township, Jefferson County, the son of Oren L. and Belle PARK FRY. He was a retired farmer and except for the last 17 years, had lived his life in Jefferson County. He married Elsie May STEWART in August, 1912 at the home of her parents in Libertyville. The farmed until their retirement in 1952, when they moved to Fairfield. They lived here until Mrs. FRY's death in November, 1966.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harold JARVIS of Washington; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His parents and a son preceded him in death.

FRY was a member of Washington Christian Church, a 50-year Mason, and member of the Washington senior citizens group. As a young man he attended Burlington Business College.
