July 16, 1982LIVESAY rites to be Monday
Services for Bertha W. LIVESAY, 82, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Raymond Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Lofton will officiate and burial will be in the Packwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Bertha LIVESAY died at 3 a.m. Thursday at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua. Since April of this year she had been a resident of Country Lane Apartments in Keosauqua.
She was born June 20, 1900, in Blackwater, Va., the daughter of the Rev. Jonas and Nora GLASS LAMBERT. She was a resident of Virginia until 1919 when the family moved to Keokuk County. She was married to Andrew Jackson LIVESAY who preceded her in death.
Since moving to Iowa Mrs. LIVESAY had lived in Packwood, Fairfield and Keosauqua. She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Abingdon Dorcas Society.
She is survived by a son, Alex LIVESAY, Keosauqua; a daughter, Joyce SAUNDERS, Des Moines; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers, George LAMBERT, Jonesville, Va., and Woodrow LAMBERT, Blackwater, Va.; five sisters, Ruby and Joe LAMBERT, Miami, Fla.; Alma JOHNSON, Kingsport, Tenn.; Clara ANDERSON, Kingsport, Tenn.; Pearl EVERHARDT, Rockwell, N.C. (sic. only four sisters appear to be named, unless one sister was named "Joe").
Mrs. LIVESAY was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, two great-grandchildren, one brother and five sisters.
