Rites Friday for Eva FORBES

Eva FORBES, longtime resident of Jefferson County, died at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Long Term Care Unit at the Jefferson County Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Raymond Funeral Home. Pastor Ron Bryan will officiate and burial will be in the Friends Cemetery at Pleasant Plain.

Memorials may be made to Quakerdale of New Providence or Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience.

Eva FORBES was born Feb. 25, 1893, in Richland, Mo., the daughter of William J. and Almeda WATSON DOUGAN. She was married to Arthur O. FORBES April 21, 1909, in Richland. He preceded his wife in death. She was also preceded in death by two sons and a number of brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce ORR; a son, Roy FORBES; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Minnie EGELINE (sic. not sure if EGELINE is a middle or married name).
