MRS. J. COFFIN PASSED AWAY
Was Born, Educated, and Grew to Young Womanhood Here

Mrs. Jasper COFFIN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike FRANZ, 807 West Kirkwood street, passed away yesterday morning at 9:05 o'clock at the University hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA). Her home was on a farm near Stockport.

Mrs. COFFIN was formerly Miss Jane FRANZ and was born September 8 1889, and grew to young womanhood in this city. She attended the preparatory school at Parsons College and then attended the college for two years. She was married to Jasper COFFIN April 19, 1907 (sic - April 16, 1907, per county marriage records) and to them were born the following children: Kathleen, a freshman at Fairfield High school; Lucille a sophomore in the Fairfield High school; Howard, Raymond, and Ethel. They lived north of this city for several years before moving to the farm near Bonaparte where their home is now. She was a member of the Presbyterian church of this city.

Besides her husband and children she leaves her father and mother, and four sisters to mourn her death. Her sisters are: Mrs. Ethel NATTFELD of Ottumwa; Mrs. W. H. FAULKNER of this city, Mrs. Julian BROWN of El Paso, Texas; and Mrs. Ralph SALTS of Fairfield. One brother preceeded (sic) her in death.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two oclock from the Christian church in charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

FUNERAL OF MRS. JASPER COFFIN
Held Yesterday from Christian Church in Charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies

Funeral services for Mrs. Jasper COFFIN were held yesterday from the Christian church with Dr. Gilbert Voorhies in charge.

Pallbearers were: John Shriner, Ralph Bates, Ralph SALTS, Bert FAULKNER, John FAULKNER and Walter Ranard. Miss Cora Ball sang "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "The Home of the Soul."

Relatives here from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Hawker of West Liberty, Dawn Anderson of Ottumwa, and many friends from the home neighborhood.
