BIRD, Wanda Mae -- Wanda Mae BIRD, 85, of Fairfield, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Jefferson County Health Center.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Lord's Cupboard. Cards and memorials may be sent to Charles Bird, 404 S. Sixth St., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. BIRD was born May 23, 1925, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Ernest Cary and Ethel J. REICHLEY SHEPP. She married Charles "Ronald" BIRD in Kahoka, Mo. They later divorced.

Mrs. BIRD worked at Universal Producing for 15 years, then at Henry County Health Care, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and American Chain and Cable, from where she retired after 11 years.

Survivors include three children: Charles E. BIRD of Fairfield, Joyce J. FROST of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Judy L. WILLIAMS of Fairfield; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband.
