DEATH TAKES MR. HAWBAKER

Funeral Services Wednesday At Behner-Dudgeon Home

Isaac HAWBAKER, well known resident of Fairfield, passed away at 7:45 o'clock last evening at his home, 504 East Lowe street. He was 74 years of age and had lived in Fairfield for many years. He had been in poor health for sometime and seriously ill the past week.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Behner-Dudgeon Funeral Home. Burial in Evergreen cemetery. Mr. HAWBAKER is survived by his wife and nine children.

ISAAC HAWBAKER

Isaac HAWBAKER son of Isaac and Margaret HAWBAKER, was born near Trenton, Iowa, Nov. 9, 1861 and departed this life at his home 504 East Lowe street, Fairfield, Ia, June 21, 1936, age 74 years, 7 months and 12 days.

Mr. HAWBAKER spent his boyhood days in Van Buren county, Ia., and Kansas , then returned to Birmingham, Ia., and was united in marriage to Laura POOL, Jan. 1, 1888, to this union were born 10 children, one son preceding him in death.

He moved to Fairfield in 1919 and resided there until his death.

He had been in poor health for several years, being seriously ill during the last week.

He leaves to mourn their loss his wife Laura and 9 children. Mrs. Mabel RANARD, Mrs. Rosa BENGE, Mrs. Beulah TURNER all of Fairfield; Mrs. Annie SNOOK of Pleasant Plain, Mrs. Ella BISHOP of Douds, Mrs. Pearl KRUEGER of Batavia, Mrs. Florence BALLARD of Alliance, Nebr., Aaron and Clarence of Ottumwa. All were at his bedside excepting Florence when the end came, and he calmly went to sleep.

He is also sirvived (sic - survived) by one stepson, Dell POOL of Birmingham and 19 grandchildren and one great grandson, also two sisters, Aletha BELL in Calif., and Susie Annie in Kansas; one brother Francis Joseph of Chanute, Kansas; seven brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Mr. HAWBAKER loved his home and took great pride in keeping it neat while his health permitted. He also enjoyed company very much.
