BRICKEY, Mary 'Katherine' -- Mary "Katherine" BRICKEY, 95, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

The funeral is planned for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Peg Ellingson officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Stockport United Methodist Church. Cards and memorials can be sent to 609 W. Clay St., Mount Pleasant 52641.

Mrs. BRICKEY was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Gate City, Va., the daughter of William and Bridget BRANNEN HARRIS. She married Raymond BRICKEY March 28, 1936, in Fairfield. He died March 23, 1982.

Mrs. BRICKEY worked in house keeping at Parsons College for eight years and at Van Buren County Hospital for seven years. She was a member of Stockport United Methodist Church and was a 50-year member of the Stockport Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two children, William BRICKEY and wife Dorothy of Mount Pleasant and Jane BRICKEY of Des Moines; one daughter-in-law, Judy BRICKEY of Ottumwa; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, John BRICKEY; and two sisters, Margaret TAYLOR and Nell HILLMAN.
