THACKER, George -- George E. THACKER, 69, of Keosauqua, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

THACKER, George Edward -- George Edward THACKER, 69, of Keosauqua, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds.

Open visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with family visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Memorials to Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 11707 130th St., Burlington 52601.

Mr. THACKER was born June 11, 1941, at Mediapolis, the son of Jack and Isabelle STAFFORD THACKER.

Mr. THACKER had worked at Heatilator in Mount Pleasant. He also had farmed near Mount Pleasant and Douds.

Survivors include one son, Joseph THACKER of Burlington; and four sisters, Betty WATERHOUSE of Morning Sun, Edna ROBERTS of Mount Pleasant, Laura SAMUELS of Muscatine and Agnes THACKER of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jerald THACKER; three brothers, Roger, James and Horus "Buddy" THACKER; and two sisters, Mabel GREEN and Mary Ann THACKER.
