Funeral services are pending at Behner Funeral Home.

July 13, 1982Nora B. HESTON rites Thursday
Nora Belle HESTON, 91, longtime resident of Fairfield, died at 12:26 a.m. Monday at the Parkview Care Center. She had been in failing health for the past year. Her home was at 700 N. Court.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. James H. Battey officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Nora Belle HESTON had made her home in Fairfield for the past 68 years with previous residence in Unionville, Mo.
She was born Oct. 21, 1890, in Unionville, the daughter of John W. and Rachel HINES SLIRKEY (sic. see correction below). Her marriage to Emil HESTON took place July 31, 1915, in Fairfield. He died June 21, 1975.
Survivors include six sons and a daughter: Merle, West Burlington; Max, Crestwood, Mo.; Emil Jr., Fairfield; Earl, Bettendorf; Donald, Fairfield; Kenneth, Fairfield; andMrs. Clifford COUNTRYMAN, Moline, Ill. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. HESTON was preceded in death by one daughter and two sisters.

In the article which appeared in Tuesday's Ledger concerning the death of Nora Belle HESTON, her maiden name should have been listed as Nora Belle SHIRKEY instead of SLIRKEY which was the name provided by the funeral home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. James Battey officiating.
Mrs. HESTON was preceded in death by one son, one daughter and two sisters.
