Emil HESTON Rites Set

Emil M. HESTON, 87, passed away late Saturday morning at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been in failing health the past seven months.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, June 24, at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of Rev. J.E. Dorman. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will be at the Funeral Home tonight from 7:30 to 9: p.m.

HESTON was born January 30, 1888 at Libertyville the son of Charles and Louise McCLEARY HESTON. On July 29, 1915 he was married to Nora B. SHIRKEY.

He was employed at Iowa Malleable Iron Company for over 40 years and lived all of his life in this community. The family home is at 700 N. Court Street. He was a member of the Libertyville United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife and the following children: Mrs. Clifford COUNTRYMAN, Moline, Ill.; Emil Jr., Donald, and Kenneth HESTON, all of Fairfield; Merle, West Burlington; Max, St. Louis, Mo., and Earl of Bettendorf.

He also leaves 30 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Lloyd HESTON, Fairfield; Mrs. Elizabeth ALLISON, Fairfield and Mrs. Mary CARTER, Winona, Minn. He was preceded by one son (sic. Dorrance LaVerne HESTON, who died in combat in November 1943), one daughter, 3 brothers and one sister.
