SOBASKI, Peggy -- Peggy SOBASKI, 52, of Richland, died early today, Wednesday Sept. 22, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Richland.

SOBASKI, Peggy Lee -- Peggy Lee SOBASKI, 52, of Richland, peacefully went to be with the Lord at 4:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. She had been hospitalized to treat kidney failure. Peggy was born January 7, 1958 in Monmouth, IL to Freeman and Jane BENNETT HALL. She moved with her family to Brighton as a 2 year old, later they moved into the Pekin school district where she graduated from Pekin High School in 1976. Peggy married Robert Dean SOBASKI July 29, 1977, in Sts. Joseph & Cabrini Church in Richland. She was a member of Sts. Joseph & Cabrini Church in Richland and the Altar and Rosary Society. Peggy was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at age 16 and bravely fought it until her passing. She enjoyed socializing at Loriann's Cafe in Richland and adored her grandbabies.

Peggy is survived by her loving and caring husband Robert, two sons, Aaron and his wife Jamie of Richland and their grandbabies: Coy, Blake and Oaklee, son Derek and his wife Luyre of Richland and their grandbabies: Dylan and Brody, her mother Jane HALL of Fairfield, her brother Greg HALL and his friend Angie Applegate of Washington, her sisters: Nancy NORTON of Green Valley, AZ, Sally and her husband Larry WARNER of Libertyville, IA and Tamara HAMMES of Sigourney, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her father, Freeman, father-in-law, Robert and brother-in-law, Steve NORTON.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday September 25, 2010, at Sts. Joseph & Cabrini Church in Richland with Rev. Richard Adam and Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton. Visitation at Sts. Joseph & Cabrini Church in Richland with the family present will be 2:00-4:00 P.M. and again 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday afternoon. Prayers for a Christian Wake will be at 7:00 P.M. Friday at the church. The family requests memorial gifts to Easter Seals of Iowa or the Multiple Sclerosis Society. They may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 33282 Hwy 1 & 78, Richland, IA 52585. Gould Funeral Home of Richland is in charge of arrangements.
