Friday January 10, 1941Mrs. Lottie HOBSON Died Early Today In Independence, Kans.
Word was received this afternoon of the death of Mrs. Lottie HOBSON, 77, at Independence, Kansas. Mrs. HOBSON was a sister of Mrs. William WELLS, 402 West Burlington St. Mrs. HOBSON has been in an Independence hospital since Oct. 25, suffering from a broken hip.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at Independence, after which the family will leave at once for Fairfield. It is not known definitley what time the body will arrive in Fairfield. After services here, burial will be in the Shaw lot in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. HOBSON was formerly Lottie SHAW of Fairfield. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Grace SHAW and Miss Eva SHAW, and by one son, Fred SHAW, all of Independence.

Saturday January 11, 1941Grave Services Sunday Afternoon For Mrs. HOBSON
Grave services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Lottie HOBSON, former Fairfield resident, who passed away Thursday at Independence, Kansas. Dr. M.A. Gable will be in charge and arrangements will be made by Hoskins Funeral Home. The body will arrive in Fairfield tonight. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. HOBSON, 77, passed away Thursday morning at her home in Independence. She had suffered a broken hip October 25, and never recovered from the shock.
Mrs. HOBSON (Lottie SHAW) was born in Iowa county, and married to Charles HOBSON of Pleasant Plain in Fairfield on January 6, 1893. They lived for many years in Waterville, Washington, where Mr. HOBSON passed away several years ago.
From Waterville Mrs. HOBSON moved to Independence, where she has made her home with two daughters, who are employed there. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock this morning in Independence, after which the body was shipped to Fairfield.
Surviving Mrs. HOBSON are two daughters, Miss Grace HOBSON and Miss Eva HOBSON, and one son, Fred HOBSON. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. William WELLS of this city.
