"The Fairfield Daily Ledger", Friday, April 12, 1929

MRS. LEONARD FRY.

Mrs. Leonard FRY passed away at her home here Saturday from an illness of heart disease following influenza. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home of her mother, Mrs. A. C. HILLMAN. The Rev. E. F. Clark was in charge of the services.

Ora Almina, daughter of Alfred Carl and Almina HILLMAN was born in Fairfield, Iowa, August 28, 1900, where she resided until the age of six years, when they moved to Kansas. Here they lived until the year 1911, since which time her home has been in Paonia. She departed this life March 30, 1929.

Most of her schooling was obtained in Paonia, she having graduated from the Paonia high school with the class of 1920. She attended the Business college at Gunnison, shortly after her graduation.

On May 6, 1925 she was married to Leonard FRY, who with a little daughter, Shirley Mae, seven months old, survive.

Never of a rugged constitution, it was through constant care and watchfulness that she grew to womanhood. Always of a cheerful disposition making no complaints it was a joy to meet her and to know her. Her last illness was of short duration, with intense suffering, but was met with patience and fortitude and her ready smile would greet each and everyone who ministered to her wants.

Besides her immediate family she leaves to mourn, her mother, two sisters, Mrs. Mable AMSBURY of Paonia, Mrs. Pearl SWARTZ of Dwight, Kansas, one niece, three nephews, and a host of friends and relatives.

Her father preceded her to the Better Land in December of 1923.
