RICHARDSON, Edith 'Edie' -- Edith "Edie" RICHARDSON, 73, of rural Keosauqua died at her home Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010.

The body has been cremated. A celebration of life is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Keosauqua United Methodist Church in Keosauqua, with visitation and lunch to follow.

No flowers are requested. Donations toward a memorial bench or the Keosauqua Public Library can be taken to the church or mailed to the family at 19829 205th St., Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. RICHARDSON was born June 20, 1937, near Keosauqua, the daughter of Cecil R. COX and Cyrus Sherman WINTERS. She married Lloyd BRERETON in 1953. They divorced. She married Dean TRUMBO, who died. She married Dick RICHARDSON, who died.

Mrs. RICHARDSON attended Keosauqua High School. After her first marriage, she lived in Birmingham, but following the divorce, she moved to California with her sister Marjorie. After her marriage to Mr. RICHARDSON, she lived in Bellflower, Calif., for many years.

She lived most of her adult life in California, where she managed the Dome Catering at the Elks Lodge in Long Beach, Calif.

She and Mr. RICHARDSON moved to Las Vegas. After he became ill, they moved to Pittsburg, where he died.

She was involved in the restaurant business in Keosauqua with Marty Barker and in Cantril with Waneta Hock. She and Waneta Hock formed WHER Inc. and restored several houses to rent and sell.

Mrs. RICHARDSON enjoyed bowling, gambling, fishing, country music and dancing. She loved traveling, especially to Alabama, Canada and Paris. She enjoyed visitors, especially her cousins, in her home.

Survivors include two daughters, Dena PARKER of Aliso Viejo, Calif., Rebecca VASQUEZ of Cerritas, Calif.; one son, Larry TRUMBO of Paris, Calif.; three grandchildren; four sisters, Louise HOUSE of Keosauqua, Joyce HAUGEN of Centerville; Connie BINKLEY of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and Dema GIRE of Fairfield; and Jeff, John and Jan RICHARDSON, all of California.

In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Marjorie MILLER and Patsy DUFF; and two brothers, Robert C. and Joseph C. WINTERS.
