Mrs. Ira SCOVEL Taken In Death

Mrs. Ira SCOVEL, 80, a resident of this county for 60 years, died Monday at 3:50 p.m. at the Jefferson County hospital.

Mrs. SCOVEL passed away a few minutes after her arrival at the hospital. She had been in failing health for several years. She had made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce HOFFMAN (sic. daughter's name was Helen), at 603 N. Court street for the past 14 years.

The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral home where arrangements are pending.

The former Nina L. YOUMAN (sic. Nina Laura YOUMANS) was born July 2, 1880 at Hastings, Neb. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer YOUMAN (sic. YOUMANS). She was married to Ira C. SCOVEL Dec. 25, 1910. He preceded her in death July 3, 1957. Mrs. SCOVEL resided in the Libertyville area for 46 years before moving to Fairfield.

She is survived by one son, Robert B. SCOVEL, Coquille, Ore.; one daughter, Mrs. HUFFMAN (sic. HOFFMAN), and one grandchild. Also surviving are a brother, Elmo YOUMAN (sic. YOUMANS); and two sisters, Mrs. Maude BROWN, Dayton, Ohio; and Mrs. Georgia HODGSON, Shawnee, Okla. One brother is deceased.
