WELL KNOWN FARMER DIED AT HIS HOME

Samuel Guy SALTS had lived in the same community all of his life

Samuel Guy SALTS, well known Jefferson county farmer passed away at his home eight miles northwest of Fairfield about 8:00 p.m. last night. He had been in poor health for several years and seriously ill for the past eight weeks.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Hoskins funeral home at 2:30 p. m. in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson. He was a member of the Masonic Order. Members of that organization will have charge of short services at the grave.

Mr. SALTS was born November 19, 1882 in Locust Grove township in Jefferson county, Iowa. He had spent his entire life on the farm where he passed away.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Ray of Batavia, and one brother, John SALTS, also of Batavia.
