BERG, Floyd Raymond -- Floyd Raymond BERG, 82, of Brighton, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at home.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Phil Barker officiating. Following the service, the body will be cremated.

Family visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church or the BERG family. Memorials may be sent to 2585 159th Blvd., Brighton 52540.

Mr. BERG was born July 31, 1928, in Brighton, the son of Raymond and Pearl PETERSON BERG. He married Kay Joyce CANADAY Aug. 9, 1959, in Fairfield.

Mr. BERG lived his whole life in Jefferson County and was a farmer in Buchanan Township.

Mr. BERG was affiliated with First Lutheran Church and Jefferson County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Gail UTT and husband Terry of Solon; and one son, Scott BERG and wife Angela of Brighton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Maizie HOLLANDER; and two brothers in infancy.
