Funeral services for Mrs. Collins A. MANNING, 59, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Christian church in charge of the Rev. S.P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. MANNING, a lifetime resident of Fairfield, died yesterday (sic. July 29, 1952) at the Jefferson county hospital after she suffered a stroke earlier in the day at her home at 209 North D street.
The former Florence May KELLEY, she was born in Jefferson county Sept. 9, 1892. Her parents were William and Carrie STILES KELLEY. She was married to Collins MANNING July 25, 1911 in Jefferson county.
Mrs. Collins (sic. meant MANNING) was a member of the First Christian church and the local Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Delbert MANARY, Richard MANNING, Kenneth MANNING, Juanita MANNING and Dean C. MANNING, all of Fairfield; Mrs. Guy WALKER, Jerome, Ariz.; Elmer A. MANNING, Des Moines and Mrs. Ray WINGATE, Ottumwa.
Six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and the following brothers and sister also survive: Abe KELLEY, Birmingham; Dan KELLEY, Gus KELLEY, Harley KELLEY and Mrs. Elmer ANDERSON, all of Fairfield.
One brother and a granddaughter preceded her in death. The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral home.
