MANNING Funeral Here Saturday

Mrs. Elmer A. MANNING, 46, former resident of Fairfield, died Tuesday night at a hospital in Des Moines. She had been ill since May.

Last rites will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Arnolds Highland Park funeral home in Des Moines. The casket will then be transported to Fairfield Friday afternoon.

Funeral services here will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Weston Behner funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Elmer A. MANNING was born Nov. 11, 1918, at Lockridge, the daughter of Louis and Fannie HUGUS HILDEBRAND. She was married to Elmer MANNING on Aug. 6, 1949.

The couple made their home in Fairfield until 1951 at which time they moved to Des Moines. Mrs. MANNING operated a beauty parlor at 4000 Sixth avenue for several years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, VFW Auxiliary of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Jo LOCKNER, Des Moines; one son, Edwin L. SMITH, Des Moines; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd PETTY, Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Mrs. Charles COCHRAN, Hedrick; and one brother, Raymond HILDEBRAND, Pleasant Valley, Iowa.
