SAPP, Theresa Margaret -- Theresa Margaret SAPP, 83, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Donnellson Health Center in Donnellson.
A celebration of life service was held at 10:30 a.m. today at Eldon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Arley Ellingson officiating. Burial was in Eldon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Eldon United Methodist Church or Lee County Hospice.
Kremer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Mrs. SAPP was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Pulaski, the daughter of Martin and Hallie KING KENNEDY. She married Jack SAPP April 11, 1946, at United Methodist Church in Ottumwa.
Mrs. SAPP graduated from Eldon High School in 1944. She was a homemaker. She had been a resident of Hedrick for the last 30 years.
Mrs. SAPP was a lifetime member of Eldon United Methodist Church. She taught Bible school and Sunday school. She also volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for 15 years.
Mrs. SAPP enjoyed spending time and making memories with her family.
Survivors include her husband; three children, Jack SAPP and wife Josephine of Summit, N.J., Jill HOPP and husband Bruce of Donnellson and Jan WESTERCAMP and husband Dan of Davenport; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary GIBERT of Portland, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Martin, Robert and Kenneth KENNEDY; and two sisters, Jean GREENFIELD and Kathryn JOHNSON.
