POHREN, Mildred M. -- Mildred M. POHREN, 86, of Farmington, died at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at Montrose Health Center.

A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Farmington, with the Rev. Bill Willis officiating. Burial will be in Croton Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Montrose Health Center.

Mrs. POHREN was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Christle MESSENGER MILLER. She married Clifford Wayne POHREN Jan. 12, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Feb. 24, 1999.

Mrs. POHREN enjoyed gardening, mushrooming, spending time outdoors, watching birds and animals and spending time with family.

Survivors include two sons, Gary POHREN and wife Norma of Hamilton, Ill., and Stephen POHREN and wife Paula of Croton; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen MILLER of Kalona; and one sister, Josephine HAVEL of Iowa City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
