DEATH CLAIMS FRANK COOPER

A long time resident of Fairfield passed away Wednesday afternoon after a lingering illness of several years. He is Frank S. COOPER, 87, who had made his home with his son, J. A. COOPER, 1003 E. Burlington street, for about 10 years.

Last rites will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Rev. S.P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Frank S. COOPER was born November 11, 1861 (sic. 1860 is on his headstone), in Pennsylvania. He was united in marriage on March 2, 1887, to Dora BOWERMASTER, who preceded her husband in death on March 9, 1938.

Mr. COOPER was a retired farmer and hotel operator. He was a member of the Methodist church and I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 4. He made his home in Fairfield for the past 75 years.

Besides his son, J. A. COOPER, Fairfield, he is survived by one granddaughter and a sister, Mrs. F. S. SHREVE, Bloomfield.
