COOPER Funeral Will Be Tuesday

Last rites for George Olin COOPER, well known Fairfield resident, will be held Tuesday morning at the Hoskins funeral home.

COOPER passed away about 1 p.m. Saturday at the Jefferson County hospital where he had been a patient since the night before. He had been seriously ill since Jan. 17.

The services tomorrow will be at 10 a.m. with Dr. C.R. Douglass in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

George Olin COOPER, 68, was born August 22, 1836 (sic - 1886), in Green county, the son of the late Howard and Clara GRAY COOPER. He was reared and educated in Green county.

He and Mrs. COOPER returned to this city five years ago after he had made his home here previously, moving away 30 years ago. He was an electric line foreman before his health forced him to retire. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Mr. COOPER was united in marriage with May FULTON on Dec. 28, 1921. The wedding took place in Fairfield.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother, Virgil FULTON, Miami, Okla. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Mr. COOPER suffered a stroke at his home 108 S. Court street Friday evening just before he was taken to the hospital.
