Former Fairfield Resident Dies In St. Paul Hospital

Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Ruth E. McKEE, former resident of Fairfield, who passed away at St. Paul, Minn. She is a sister of R.C. LEGGETT, 115 Iowa Ave. (sic. Richard Cunningham LEGGETT; he himself died Sept. 12th while in St. Paul to attend the funeral of his sister).

Last rites will be held Thursday afternoon at St. Paul. Mr. LEGGETT will leave tomorrow to attend the services.

Ruth E. McKEE was born March 26, 1889, in Fairfield, the daughter of the late Charles D. and Beatrice C. LEGGETT. She was reared and educated in this community, and was graduated from Parsons college.

She was united in marriage to Edwin F. McKEE and they have made their home in St. Paul for the past several years.

Besides her husband, Mrs. McKEE is survived by two children, Edwin who lives at Los Angeles; and Mrs. Dorothea THOMAS, Bloomington, Indiana. She is also survived by four grandchildren and her brother, R. C. Leggett (sic. Richard Cunningham LEGGETT), Fairfield.

Mrs. McKEE passed away at the Midway hospital in St. Paul after a serious illness of the past six weeks.

The surviving brother, Richard Cunningham LEGGETT, died suddenly on Sept. 12, in his hotel room in St. Paul where he had arrived to attend the funeral of his sister Ruth. He was returned to Fairfield, Iowa for burial in Evergreen Cemetery there.
