CAVINESS, Dawn A. -- Dawn A. CAVINESS, 39, of Keokuk, formerly of Keosauqua, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

A funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery, west of Keosauqua.

Family visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to P.O. Box 513, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. CAVINESS was born Aug. 2, 1971, in Keosauqua.

She grew up in Van Buren County and lived briefly in Arizona before residing several years in Wayland, Mo. She most recently had resided in Keokuk. Mrs. CAVINESS retired from Steel Castings Co. in Keokuk for health reasons.

Survivors include her stepmother, Alice CAVINESS of Memphis, Mo.; one daughter, Mindy ROBERTS of Wayland, Mo.; two sons, Stephen CAVINESS of Fort Dodge and Cody ROBERTS of Keokuk; one granddaughter; five sisters, Tina EDWARDS of Memphis, Mo., Leona EDWARDS of Edina, Mo., Angel SPURGEON of Stockport, Kathryn CURTIS of Kirksville, Mo., and Jayne DABNEY of Glenwood, Mo.; one brother, Jerry CAVINESS of Alexandria, Mo.; one stepsister; and one stepbrother.

She was preceded in death by her father, David CAVINESS; and one brother, Lloyd CAVINESS.
