ROSS Funeral Will Be Friday

Mrs. Charles H. ROSS, 76, native of Fairfield, died at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient since Sept. 1. She had been seriously ill the past four weeks.

Her death followed the death of her daughter, Mrs. Helen Ruth ALVINE, by just 14 days. Mrs. LeRoy ALVINE died at Phoenix, Ariz., where she made her home, and graveside services were held here on Nov. 10.

Last rites for Mrs. Charles ROSS will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Ruth Elizabeth SIMPSON was born July 4, 1889, at Fairfield, the daughter of Frank and Sadie WILLIS SIMPSON. On Dec. 1, 1908, she was married to Harry C. Jones who died Dec. 24, 1936.

On Dec. 10, 1939, she was united in marriage to Charles H. ROSS who survives.

Mrs. ROSS was a member of the Christian Science church; the Social Order of Beauceant Assembly No. 9, Ottumwa; Christina Court No. 3, Order of Amaranth, Ottumwa; Daughters of the Nile, Des Moines; and the Nile club, Ottumwa. She was also a member of the Jefferson County Council of Republican Women and the Fairfield Women's club.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. LaVerne HARLAN, Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Hilario NAVA, El Paso, Texas; one stepson, Howard ROSS, Nile, Michigan; along with four grandchildren and two step grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Ruth JONES ROSS, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Ruth JONES ROSS, Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 24 day of November, 1965, the last will and testament of Ruth JONES ROSS deceased bearing date of the 28th day of March, 1953, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Charles ROSS was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the district court of said county within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
