O. HICKENBOTTOM rite Monday

The funeral service for Ollive HICKENBOTTOM, 70, 1205 S. Sixth, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. HICKENBOTTOM died at 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, 1989, at the Jefferson County Hospital.

She was born May 13, 1918 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Glen and Tressa NELSON MCCORMICK. She married Robert L. HICKENBOTTOM on Sept. 27, 1942 in Memphis, Mo. He died June 13, 1974.

Mrs. HICKENBOTTOM was secretary for the Fairfield Community School District Board of Directors for 24 years and at Lockridge schools eight years prior to that. She retired from her position in August 1981.

She graduated from Fairfield High School and Iowa Success Business School in Ottumwa.

Mrs. HICKENBOTTOM was a member of the First Lutheran Church and past president of the Soroptimist Club, 1966-67.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann MADDEN of Columbia, S.C., and two grandsons.

Friends may call at the Behner Funeral Home beginning Sunday noon. Memorials may be left to the American Cancer Society or to the First Lutheran Church.
