BURK, Sue WEERMAN -- Sue WEERMAN BURK, formerly of Tulsa, Okla., died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at her mother's home in St. Joseph, Mo.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Mrs. BURK was born Oct. 31, 1961, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Dirk and Karen WEERMAN and Lora and Jim RIGGS. She married David BURK, and they later divorced.

Mrs. BURK graduated from high school in Wellman. She then moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., and became a school bus driver. She later moved to Tulsa, Okla., where she began charter delivery for airline freight companies and continued that work for 18 years.

Mrs. BURK leared to square dance on horses in her spare time.

Survivors include her parents; one sister, Kathy FEWINS; one half sister, Misty; one half brother, Ammon; and one brother, Donald.

Sue was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Elizabeth WEERMAN and Ernest and Sarah JOHNSON.
