Mary G. ZILLMAN

Mary G. ZILLMAN, 84, 52 E. Madison Ave., died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 1997, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Peter G. Drever Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary or the Lions Foundation.

Mrs. ZILLMAN was born Feb. 19, 1913, at Rock Island, Ill., the daughter of Harvey L. and Jessie SCOTT MILLER. She married Carl R. ZILLMAN on Jan. 1, 1934, in Rock Island. She lived most of her life in the Fairfield community. She was employed at Loudens for several years. She and her husband owned and operated ZILLMAN's Furniture from 1954 to 1974 in Fairfield. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Fairfield Lionels, Business and Professional Women, Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary, and past president of Soroptimist Club.

Survivors include her husband; two aunts, Edna SCOTT of Keokuk, and Ada SCOTT JEWITT of Pontiac, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Margaret Ann MILLER.

Note: Carl and Mary ZILLMAN are buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa in 5th.018. Mary's mother, Jessie E MILLER, is also buried in an adjacent plot and they share a joint headstone.
