Friday Nov. 28, 1947FRED S. LITTLE DIES AT HOME
Fred S. LITTLE, 74, long-time resident of Fairfield, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at this home, 901 W. Stone street. He had been in failing health and bedfast for the past 16 months.
Last rites will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Rev. S.P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. LITTLE was born September 11, 1873, at Denmark, Iowa, the son of the late Walter and Ellen BURTON LITTLE. He was married April 2, 1896, to Mary MILLER at Mt. Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. LITTLE were members of the Golden Wedding club.
Besides the wife, he is survived by the following children: Harry, of Galesburg, Illinois; Elbert, Horace, Glen, Mrs. Ethel MURPHY, Mrs. Virginia BUSH, Mrs. Ruth NEDDERMAN, all of Fairfield; and Mrs. Mildred McINTIRE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mr. Little is also survived by 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, a brother, Ernest, Davenport, and a sister, Mrs. Robert SMITH, Letts, Iowa. Four children preceded him in death.
