Phyllis Arlene TURNER, 78, 401 E. Washington Ave., died at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1998, at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.
The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. The body has been cremated and there will be no family visitation. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. TURNER was born Feb. 3, 1920, at Pleasant Plain, the daughter of William L. and Esther R. ANDERSON TRAIL. She married James W. TURNER on March 26, 1938, at Lancaster, Mo. She graduated from Pleasant Plain High School and attended the Iowa Success School in Ottumwa. She was a lifelong resident of Fairfield. She was a legal secretary for JORDAN & JORDAN and Dillon TURNEY Attorneys At Law, and worked part time at Sears, Roebuck Catalog Store in Fairfield. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband of Fairfield; one daughter, Mary K. of Sacramento, Calif.; two sons, David W. of Salisbury, N.C., and Steven J. of Fairfield; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
