MOORE, Charles -- Charles MOORE, 105, of rural Selma, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Bloomfield Care Center.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. David Albert officiating. Burial will be in Floris Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials to the Floris, Eldon or Douds fire departments may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 10081 Canyonview Court, Spring Valley, CA 91977.

Mr. MOORE was born Jan. 18, 1905, in Van Buren County, the son of Frank and Minerva WINTERS MOORE. He married Ruth WILKINSON HEM April 10, 1952, in Memphis, Mo.

Mr. MOORE and his wife made their home on a farm in northeast Davis County.

Survivors include his wife; one stepson, Earl HEM and wife Jan of Spring Valley, Calif.; two granddaughers; one great-grandson; one brother, Rex MOORE of Eldon; and one sister, Margaret POOL of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, George, Harold, Irvin and Theodore MOORE; and one sister, Louise ESSARY.
