Maxine E. EASTBURN, 72, of 909 E. Hempstead died at 10:20 a.m. Feb. 24, 2002, in Jefferson County Hospital.

She was born April 24, 1929, in Fairfield to L. Curtis and Varilla SMITH ELLIOTT. She married Charles EASTBURN Sept. 30, 1951 in Des Moines.
She lived in the Fairfield community most of her life and in Des Moines from 1951 to 1954. She was a Fairfield High School graduate and attended Parsons College for two years. She was a homemaker and a member of PEO Chapter MB; St. Peters Episcopal Church and the Fairfield Golf and Country Club.

She is survived by her husband; a son, David of Fairfield; two daughters, Kim WALTHER of Gambrills, Md., and Ann KOOPAL of Urbandale; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in Death by her parents and one brother Robert ELLIOTT.

Her body will be cremated.

Private family graveside services will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to donor's choice or mailed to David EASTBURN, 3208 W. Tyler Street, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
