Mrs. BROWN, 81, Taken In Death

Mrs. Selma Jane BROWN, 81, 303 S. Court, died this morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Eva SALTS, with whom she made her home. She had been in failing health for some time.

Private services for the immediate family are being planned with the Raymond Funeral Home in charge. The body has been willed to the University of Iowa Medical School.

Born Dec. 16, 1886 in Cedar Rapids, Mrs. BROWN was the daughter of Michael Peter and Ida K. DOTSON FRANZ. She was reared and educated in Fairfield. She was married to Frank J. McCONNELL who preceded her in death. She later married Julian H. BROWN, who died in 1960. She was a member of the Christian Science Church.

Survivors include one son, Fred of Tipton; three sisters, Mrs. Margarette FAULKNER, Mrs. Eva SALTS, both of Fairfield, and Mrs. Gearhardt NABBEFELD of Ottumwa. There are five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and a sister.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Selma Jane BROWN, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate Of Selma Jane BROWN, Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 6th day of September, 1968, the last will and testament of Selma Jane BROWN, deceased, bearing date of the 16 day of November, 1967, was admitted to probate in the above named Court and that Eva SALTS was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the district court of said county within one year from the date of the second publication of his notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
