MRS. CLARA A. NELSON DIED YESTERDAY

Mrs. Clara A. NELSON passed away yesterday afternoon at her home near Salina about four thirty o'clock. She had been very ill for the past sixteen months, suffering from heart troubles. While her death was not unexpected, it comes as a great shock to her family.

Mrs. NELSON was born in Sweden and came to this country about 27 years ago and settled near Salina. In 1894 she was united in marriage to Nels G. NELSON and to this union were born ten children. Hattie, Pearl and Nora have preceded her in death.

The following children with the husband are left to mourn her loss of a kind and loving wife and mother; Mrs. Russell JOHNSON, Mildred, Harold, Mrs. Arthur HOSTETLER, Roy, Doris and Frances.

The funeral services will be held at Salina at 10 o'clock from the home Monday morning and from the Salina church at 10:30 in charge of Rev. Sardeen. Interment will be in the Evergreen cemetery in this city.

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes. I am not related to the subjects.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa in 2nd.029. Her husband, Nels, a daughter, Hattie Ellen, and Nels' second wife Emma NELSON are also buried in this plot.

Clara's maiden name can be found attributed in some sources to be "Johnson", but is not confirmed by this obituary.
