Mrs. W. Ed CAMPBELL, 87, 302 W. Adams, died at 8:20 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been a patient since Nov. 21.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John R. Dilley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The body will be taken from the Weston Behner Funeral Home to the church at 9 a.m.
Mrs. CAMPBELL, the former Anetta (sic. Annetta) Blaine YOUNG, had been a resident of Fairfield since 1890. She was born April 10, 1884 near Salina, the daughter of Robert and Harriett Loucasta COLE YOUNG. She was educated in the local public school.
She was married to W. Ed CAMPBELL July 10, 1912. Her husband preceded her in death Nov. 28, 1953.
Mrs. CAMPBELL was employed as a telephone operator and later as a dental assistant to Dr. J. B. MONFORT. She was a correspondent for the Daily Ledger for many years.
She was an active member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Association of Presbyterian Women, Beta Circle and the Keep Young Club.
She is survived by two children: Mrs. Glenn LATHROP, Huxley; and the Rev. George W. CAMPBELL, Waverly. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Della DOOL, Fairfiel (sic); five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
