KONRADY, Mary Arlene -- Mary Arlene KONRADY, 77, of Ames, died from complications of Alzheimer's disease Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Sunrise Cottages in Rochester, Minn.
A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames, with the Rev. James Secora presiding. Burial will follow in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames, with a vigil service at 6:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Mrs. KONRADY was born Sept. 13, 1932, in Des Moines, the daughter of Russell and Rose KEENAN DANIELS. She married Howard L. KONRADY May 5, 1951, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
Mrs. KONRADY graduated from St. Cecilia Grade School in 1946 and Ames High School in 1950. After raising her family, she was the financial manager at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield from 1968 to 1988. She sold real estate for Friedrich Iowa Realty from 1988 to 2000.
Mrs. KONRADY was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America. She participated in establishing perpetual Eucharistic adoration at her church.
Her hobbies included reading and playing bridge.
Survivors include four sons, Nick and wife Sandy of Stewartville, Minn., Dan of Ames, Paul and wife Paula of Kenmore, Wash., and Phil and wife Laura of Eldridge; three daughters, Rose ACKER and husband Jerry of Coon Rapids, Minn., Mary GANGELHOFF and husband Daren of Eagan, Minn., and Carol WILSON and husband Mark of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, LaVonne EKREN of Redmond, Wash., and Joann PROCTOR of Bayside, Texas.
