MRS. T.S. WARD PASSED AWAY AT HOME, HERE

Well known resident died this afternoon after long illness

Mrs. T.S. WARD (sic. Thomas S. WARD), passed away today at 12:15 p.m. at her home 305 South Sixth street. She had been ill for the last three years and confined to her bed for the past year.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Thomas S. WARD, and five children. They are Mrs. E.G. FLIGG, Mrs. Opal PARSONS, Warren A. WARD (sic. Orin A WARD), and Hugh S. WARD of Fairfield, and Mrs. Dick WOODS of Denver, Colo. Other relatives are two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Charles WILLIAMS, Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Lydia MELVILLE, New Orleans, La., and Frank KING, Idaho (sic. can't read the town name fully. "May..."?).

She was a member of the Methodist church.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Dr. M.A. Gable. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Transcriber note: The death record on file at the Jefferson County courthouse provides the name as being Jelina Ella Ward. Her headstone, however, uses Ella J. Ward. Her maiden name was KING.

She was first married to a John/James MURDOCK and had two children in that marriage. She then married Thomas S WARD and had seven children in that marriage.
