Wife of the Late Senator ALLEN Passed Away HereMrs. W. S. ALLEN, wife of the late Senator William S. ALLEN, passed away at her home, 303 East Burlington street, this morning at 10:30 oclock following an illness of three weeks. The making of funeral arrangements will be deferred pending word from relatives.
Mrs. ALLEN was born in Illinois but spent a great deal of her life in Birmingham, Iowa, moving to Fairfield in 1919. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George S. JAY of Northhampton, Mass., and one son, Roy B. of Fairfield, both of whom were with their mother, at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away December 6, 1925. He was elected State Senator in 1908 from the Jefferson-Van Buren district and served in the 33rd and 34th general assemblies. At the primary election in 1912 he received the republican nomination for Secretary of State and was elected to that postition at the following fall election. He was reelected in 1914, 1916, and 1918 and resigned July 1, 1919.

Funeral Services Were Held From the Home at One O'clockFuneral services for Mrs. W. S. ALLEN, who died at her home here Thursday morning, were held Saturday afternoon at one o'clock. Dr. Gilbert Voorhies of the Presbyterian church officiated at the services at the home 303 East Burlington street, which were attended by many friends and relatives.
Mrs. Arthur Greef sang the solo "In The Garden" and Mrs. Greef and Mrs. Frank Pierson sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." The P.E.O. Sisterhood of which Mrs. ALLEN was a member, attended in a body. There were many pretty floral pieces banked around the casket. The casket attendants were: C.W. Wade, G.T. McKee, Charles Gage, E.G. Fligg, Dr. Chester Fordyce and John Barwise. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
Ella M. McCORMICK, daughter of Cyrus and Hannah McCORMICK was born in Mt. Carmel, Ill., where she grew to womanhood. She passed away at her home on Burlington street on January 22, 1931.
She was educated at Iowa Wesleyan University and was married to W. S. ALLEN in Mt. Union, Iowa. She leaves to mourn her loss her son, Roy D. ALLEN of Fairfield and one daughter, Mrs. George S. JAY of Pelham Manor, N. Y.
Mrs. ALLEN, long a member of the First Presbyterian church of this city was also a member of the local chapter of P. E. O. She was active in both church and social affairs up until her last illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. W. S. ALLEN, who passed away at her home here yesterday morning, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 oclock from the ALLEN residence, 303 East Burlington street. Dr. Gilbert Voorhies of the Presbyterian church will have charge of the services. Interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.
The members of the P. E. O. Sisterhood are asked to meet at the home of Mrs. E. A. Davies at 12:45 oclock tomorrow to attend the funeral services .

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Ella M. ALLEN, Deceased, is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson county, and that Thursday, February 19, A. D., 1931 at 2 oclock p. m., has been set for proof and final hearing of same.
