HOMER GRANT WIMPSETT

Homer Grant WIMPSETT, 80, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 1991, at Parkview Care Center.

The body was cremated and the service will be held at a later date. Memorials to American Cancer Fund may be left at Behner Funeral Home.

WIMPSETT was born March 28, 1911, in Keota, the son of Grant General and Viola Nellie BALES WIMPSETT. He was a self-employed mechanic, painter and carpenter.

He had lived in the Fairfield community and before that elsewhere in Iowa and in Kansas.

Surviving are two daughters, Janice CARROLL of Davenport, Janet KATZIN of St. Cloud, Fla.; a son, John Meier in Iowa; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty ECKHARDT of Fairfield, Mattie MORRIS, Marie SMITHHART, both of Des Moines and Donna MICKEY of Little Rock, Ark. His first wife, Jean; two brothers, Ralph, John ; four sisters, Lucille, Iona, Anna May, Dollie and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
