Ruah "Juanita" HANEY, 90, of Batavia, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia, with the Rev. John Cooper officiating.
Open visitation began at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present from 6-8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to ARC of Jefferson and Nearby Counties.
Mrs. HANEY was born June 30, 1919, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Ted and Ruah Cook KRAMER DeGOOD. She married Dorsey HANEY March 16, 1940, in Fairfield.
Mrs. HANEY graduated from Fairfield High School. She taught country school for several years.
Mrs. HANEY attended Cross Lane Presbyterian church until it closed and was a member of Cross Lanes Club.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Ronald HANEY and wife Vicki of Batavia; one daughter, Rosie BALL and husband Gene of Batavia; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents
