HUMMELL, Zella L. -- Zella L. HUMMELL, 78, of Festus, Mo., died Monday, March 22, 2010, at home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Amhearst Hospice, 2388 Schuetz Road, Suite C-75, Maryland Heights, MO 63146.

Mrs. HUMMELL was born Jan. 18, 1932, in Hanson, Mo., the daughter of JC and Mary PRATT STORY. She married Wilber HUMMELL. He died Feb. 27, 2010.

Mrs. HUMMELL was a homemaker. She had lived in Iowa for quite some time.

Survivors include three daughters, Carla KENNEDY and husband Larry of Barnhart, Mo., Connie HARTMAN and husband Paul of Imperial, Mo., and Charlene BRADFORD and husband Jim of Festus, Mo.; three sons, Larry HUMMELL and wife Debra of DeSoto, Mo., Jerry HUMMELL and wife Melissa of Festus, Mo., and Ron HUMMELL and wife Roxanne of Festus, Mo.; three brothers, Melvin STORY of Birmingham, Gene STORY of Cedar Rapids and Marvin STORY of Stockport; 23 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
