BURMEISTER, Richard Allen -- Richard Allen BURMEISTER, 57, of Fairfield, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Maharishi University of Management. Memorials may be sent to Frances BURMEISTER at 1120 E. Madison Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. BURMEISTER was born Oct. 24, 1952, in Urbana, Ill., the son of Richard Wayne and Patricia TAYLOR BURMEISTER. He married Frances Marian ASCOLI March 24, 1979.

A graduate of Urbana High School and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Mr. BURMEISTER completed a master's degree in computer science in 1984. He and his wife moved to Fairfield in 1987.

He enjoyed spending time with his wife and making the world a better place. He also enjoyed music.

Survivors include his wife, his parents and one brother, Charles L. BURMEISTER of White Heath, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Addie BURMEISTER and Jessie and Lawrence W. TAYLOR.
